Long Distance Triathlete

One of New Zealand’s top rising Long Distance Triathletes, Amelia Rose Watkinson is the 2016 National Half Ironman Champion, also on the podium at the National Cycling Championships road race and time trial.


Top Sporting Achievements

After completing her bachelors of architecture Amelia turned her full attention to triathlon, winning her first race as a professional at challenge gold coast 2014. Since then her career highlights are placing 3rd at 70.3 Asia-pacific champs 2015 and fighting hard for 2nd place at 70.3 Taupo. She will be spending the 2016 winter based out of Thanyapura Phuket with the new professional triathlon team to race the Asia-Pacific circuit.
