BMI Calculator
What is the BMI?
The BMI is simply a measure of how much body fat you carry. It is calculated by using the ratio between your weight in kilograms and height in centimetres.
Who shouldn't use the BMI?
The BMI has its limitations and is not suitable for: anyone under 18, pregnant or lactating women, frail and sedentary elderly people, competitive athletes or body builders with higher levels of muscle mass. If you fall under one of these categories, you should consult your healthcare professional about any concerns over weight.
